Description

#023     CD 126     W. BROOKFIELD.      55 FULTON ST. N.Y.      (dates).     Mustard with amber.

An amazing insulator!  A regular mustard colored "blob top" without any impurities is quite a desirable item.  Seeing one with well pronounced, pure amber swirls will spin your head around!  Nicely pronounced amber swirling is present from all angles.

The swirled impurities are pure orange amber with a slight reddish tone.  Digital photography has a tendency to saturate the amber slightly, but rest assured, the winning bidder will be delighted with this amazing jewel.

Embossing is weakened, but mostly readable.  Overall condition is very near mint+ to very, very near mint!

From the collection of the late John Ayer.

***** 8:30 A.M.  Sunday, March 29.  The fourth photo, added today, was created when this item was offered in Pole Top Discoveries' Catalogue Auction #62 in 2010.  It is perhaps more accurate for color than the other three recent photos.  The mustard color was a bit too green in the three recent images, the fourth being more accurate with stronger yellow/mustard tones.  The amber impurities are also more accurately depicted in the fourth image, being somewhat less dense and concentrated.
