Description

#277      CD 151      H.G. CO.      PETTICOAT.       Medium cornflower blue.

Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company, and found primarily along railroad right of ways.  The CD 151 HG Co insulators were produced in a variety of pastel and medium hues, this attractive blue coloration fitting especially well with many of them.

The charcoal colored spots seen in the front dome, skirt and reverse done are impurities floating inside the glass.  The ones in the reverse dome come right to the surface.

The dark spot in the lower right (reverse) skirt, above the mold line, is an entirely enclosed bubble.  The area directly below the mold line has a separate shallow open bubble with some associated flaking, perhaps half the size of a pinkie nail.  Aside from this small blemish, the insulator is very near mint+.

BUY-NOW option was removed once the reserve price was met.
