Description

#367      CD 145       AM. INSULATOR CO. N.Y.      (1881,1883, 1884 dates)      Dark yellow olive.

Base embossed with precise, small lettering.  Produced for the American Insulator Company using Samuel Oakman's patented threading process.  Typically found in aqua, these dark yellow olive examples seldom surface for sale.  Limited numbers were found along railroad right of ways in New York State.

Shallow match head flake in the wire groove.  Shallow base flake removes "tticoat."  Otherwise, excellent condition.
