#466 726 Unmarked. Aqua with heavy opaque impurities.
The 726 Canadian threadless has an aesthetically pleasing design with high, sno-cone shaped dome. They date circa mid 1860's to early 1870's. The 726 was produced by one or more Canadian glasshouses, including a factory in present day Hudson, Quebec.
A wide range of colours were produced in this design. Most are rare, but with patience and determination, a nice 726 colour run can be assembled.
Similar in overall appearance and opaqueness to an example offered in Pole Top Discoveries' Catalogue Sale #75 (September 2017), which witnessed spirited bidding among collectors.
An abundance of milky opaque impurities traverse from the pinhole top to the base of the insulator! An exceptionally dense, large "cotton-ball" dominates the skirt. The opaque impurities are so abundant, they appear quite well in any type of lighting, but are especially breathtaking when bottom lighted.
Many collectors would grade this jewel very near mint. It has only minor shallow flakes, mostly on the base. A beauty!
