#469 CD 130.2 SEILERS PATENT FEB 6 - 1877 PATENT DEC. 19- 1871 Green aqua.
A highly unusual design, similar to the 1872 Emminger patent, but with six projections instead of four. In addition to the Seiler patent embossing on these insulators, they also carry the December 1871 patent date, which was held by Hemingray.
Very few of these unique insulators have been found, and they are highly sought. They are among the most desirable of all Western insulators, they are quite rare, of an unusual design and the only type insulator available in this particular CD classification, all factors making them among the most "prestigious" insulators within the hobby.
This is a damage prone style, so the immaculate condition of this gem makes it all the more astounding! A spectacular, sparkling jewel with bold embossing!
Ross Baird collection.
