#549 CD 123 E.C&M CO S.F. Dark olive amber. "H" mold with 4" height.
The "H" mold is most easily distinguished by the glass "globs" at the center of the wire groove and at the mold line in the wire groove at left.
Olive amber EC&M's have been found primarily on the routes of two telegraph lines in Nevada. Both were operated by the "Nevada and California Telegraph Company," and are among the latest EC&M embossed insulators to be installed.
Variation in color toning exists in these scarce beauties, this being more amber toned than some.
The base is in great condition, having only one shallow flake, 2/3 pinkie nail size. Sizable chip on the reverse skirt, up from the base, as shown in the second photo. The chip remains relatively shallow, extending from the base to the upper portion of the skirt. The embossed, front mold half displays wonderfully.
