#562 CD 102 (Diamond). 4. Vivid blue.
This one is like a chameleon, as it changes colour depending on the light source. With natural balanced fluorescent backlighting, a rich sapphire-ink blue colour is most noticeable in the dome, especially above the pinhole, where an "inky cobalt" hue takes command. Yellow olive impurities are streaked through a good portion of the glass, making for a very interesting mix!
This is the strongest blue Diamond pony we recall ever offering for sale. It's quite a dazzler, and certainly a highly regarded item among Diamond pony collectors.
An in-the-making lehr touch mark, slightly larger than pencil eraser diameter, on the reverse dome. Flake on lower wire ridge (to the right front mold half) is only the size of two pinheads. Associated coarse area on surface is match head size.
