#583 CD 136.4 Unmarked. Blue.
Known as the "Canadian Boston," the vast majority of fully threaded aqua 136.4 have been found in Canada. However, broken examples have also been found on the route of the Atlantic & Great Western Railway (Erie Rwy) which traversed between the mainline Erie at Salamanca, New York, through northwestern Pennsylvania and into southwestern Ohio.
These jewels likely date from the late 1870's into the middle or late 1880's.
Most often found in aqua, this beauty is an attractive blue shade! Wonderful, thick dome glass!
Excellent overall condition, especially for this damage prone style! Typically the wire ridges are chipped. Not so with this gem, as there are only two small flakes, each smaller than a book-match head. Slight wear on the base.
A beautiful example in all respects.
