Description

#626      CD 145      H.G. CO.      PETTICOAT.      True yellow.      Mould letter “K.”

Most  H.G. Co. beehives in the “amber” family consist of three main shades, the yellow amber, medium amber, and rusty orange amber (see Lots #627, #628 & #629).  The true yellow examples lack the brownish amber tones, and are much rarer than the other amber family members. They are seldom offered for sale and are eagerly sought by collectors.

A fabulous example with loads of "whittle" on the surface and numerous microscopic bubbles inside the glass.

Spectacular, very near mint+ overall condition with a flawless wire groove!  An amazing example in all respects!
