#629 CD 145 H.G. CO. PETTICOAT. Dark, rusty orange amber. Mold letter "M."
The darkest of the three main amber shades found in HG Co. beehives. Like the yellow amber and medium amber shades, these were also used along the Great Northern Railway in western Montana, northern Idaho and eastern Washington. Of the three shades described, this is the scarcest.
All of the amber beehives in this auction remain in far nicer condition than is typically encountered. All are exceptional examples!
