#659 U380 Unmarked. White porcelain.
Unmarked "helmet" style insulator produced by Locke. Mold line over dome.
These are quite scarce, with only a very limited number known. This example was found on the inside of a substation in Crown Heights, New York in the 1990's.
Exceptional, very, very near mint condition. Any light or dark areas seen in the photo are not damage, rather shadows or highlights on recessed or raised portions of the porcelain surface.
