#718 CD 199 Emerald-prism. Blue.
The emerald was a trademark of C.S. Knowles Company. Insulators produced for them often included a large prism. Additionally many of their saddle groove designs also included a large embossed 1890 patent date.
A sizable transposition type insulator which was very prone to damage, especially the wide umbrella at top.
This one fared much better than most. Has a shallow, 3/4" base bruise (see photo) and a pencil eraser diameter nick, next to a small open bubble on the underside of the umbrella.
