#719 CD 211 NO LEAK D PATENTED BROOKFIELD Dark aqua. No insert.
Leonard Storrer, of San Francisco, California received a patent on March 24, 1908 for a new method of insulating electric wires. His invention used a glass disc inserted into the bottom portion of a corresponding insulator. This created a zone of dryness, even during wet or foggy weather. Apparently, his experiences with foggy conditions in northern California prompted his invention.
Some were found in California many years ago, as well as the Stampeded Pass area of Washington State. A rather scarce Brookfield product.
What appears to possibly be a small piece of metal in the skirt has an olive amber trail on both sides, adding a little color.
Exceptional condition, remaining very, very near mint.
