A very popular insulator with collectors! The pilgrim hat style is generally associated with threadless types, so a large hat style in a threaded insulator is unusual. The large, bold "E. R. W." embossing is also quite impressive.
These beauties have been found at various locations on the mainline Erie through southern New York State, and to a lesser degree on some of the Erie branch lines.
A yarn-like milky impurity starts at the base, making a complete spiral all the way around the skirt, into the pinhole, where it zig-zags up to the dome, thickening into a broad area of milky, white opaqueness.
Small bruise, up from the base as seen in the second photo. Two very minor, thin surface flakes up from the reverse base are only pencil eraser diameter and slightly larger (very minor). Very nice overall condition for this style insulator!
