#854 CD 161 CALIFORNIA Multi-color.
Produced in Long Beach, California, by a glass factory which operated as the California Glass Insulator Company, and later as the California Glass Works.
Various styles of “California” insulators were made using “multi-colored” glass. The ratio of glass colors varies greatly from item to item, so a sizable collection of differing blends can be assembled. This signal style gem consists of about 2/3 green and 1/3 amethyst, with a little peach toning in the skirt.
Chip on the inside of the skirt is just a little larger than a pinkie nail. Otherwise, very near mint.
