#959 Unmarked. Lignum Vitae wood.
A “San Francisco wooden” insulator which was used on the trolley system in San Francisco, California. Cable top type. This variant does not have an inner skirt.
Unlike most other examples, this one has not been "refinished" and still retains a small amount of the original "municipal green" paint.
Weathered surface. Thumbnail chip on inside of one ear.
