#1016 CD 125 HEMINGRAY W.U. 5 PATENT MAY 2 1893. Amethyst.
A Hemingray product which is typically found in aqua glass, but a small number were also produced in amethyst coloration. Most examples have lighter sage-gray coloration mixed into the glass, however this one is more consistently amethyst, making it more desirable. This design was the Western Union “standard” for a period of time, likely produced in the 1890’s to early 1900’s.
Exceptional, very near mint+ condition.
