#1017 CD 125 PATENT DEC. 19. 1871. W.U. 5 Vivid mustard olive.
Fabulous color! A stunning yellow-mustard-olive color that is unique to these insulators.
Early threaded telegraph styles are seldom found in such exotic coloration. Most or all of the known W.U. 5’s in this color were discovered in the Black Hills region of South Dakota and the extreme northeastern portion of Wyoming. The few known dazzlers of this type were found on rural telephone lines in the area of these two bordering states.
Exceptional, very near mint+ condition!
