#1055 732.2 Unmarked. Green with milky streaks. "George Floyd" pinhole.
Produced with a peculiar type pinhole, patented by George Floyd in 1867. There are two recessed cavities at the top of the pinhole, designed to receive a special split pin, as shown in the patent illustration (see second image).
Likely made by Hemingray, as a couple similar examples were found in Cincinnati many years ago with "Patent Dec 19, 1871" embossing on the dome.
An item that rarely surfaces for sale! This one all the more special because of the attractive green coloration and a little milky streaking for a touch of character.
Sparkling, shiny, very near mint+ condition!
