Wonderful opaqueness in this example! Wow! The glass is loaded with with opaque, white impurities throughout. Additionally, numerous strings, globs and specks are scattered within. Three white chunks appear inside the glass, behind and above the "R."
The "RD" insulators are a mystery. The embossing represents a British registry, yet the insulators have the standard North American, one inch diameter pinhole. And, those in collections have been found in the US, including the state of Georgia.
A wonderful example! Excess glass removal (at time of manufacture) along the base edge and the typical factory ground base. Sparkling, shiny surface. No chips or dings. We can't find any actual damage... a beauty!
