Description

#1071       CD 136       B&O       PATENT   DEC 19 1871.       Vivid green with fine amber streaks.

A very attractive, bright color, quite similar to the premium glassware produced in the 20th century, known as "Depression Glass."  The addition of fine amber streaking makes this one a somewhat different color than the couple other examples we've encountered over the years.

A colorful and desirable item for the Hemingray collector, or anyone who appreciates rare, early threaded glass.

A flat chip, up from the base on the side skirt (see second photo).  Remainder of insulator is very near mint, and it displays excellent from either the B&O or 1871 dated side.
