#1241 CD196 NO 51 H.G. CO. PAT MAY 2 1893. Medium-dark aqua.
Large impressive "umbrella" design. A single piece transposition insulator produced by the Hemingray Glass Company.
Examples with the additional "No 51" marking are scarcer and more desirable to collectors than those lacking the extra lettering.
Exceptional condition, especially for this damage prone design! One drip point on the umbrella and two on the base are only partially flaked. That's amazingly nice for having so many drip points!!! Overall, easily grades "very near mint."
