Description

#1249      CD 269       JUMBO.      Dark teal aqua.

A very large and impressive insulator measuring 7-1/4 inches in height.  This large power glass insulator was used on electric railways where large D.C. conductors were required, and also on other high voltage applications.

Produced by the Brookfield Glass Company.

The circular shape to the left of center base in first photo is a fully enclosed bubble, not damage.  Clean wire groove chip (see right of center in second photo).  Pencil eraser diameter ding on reverse base has an associated, hard to see bruise in lower skirt.  Overall, a nice looking example with a bright, shiny glass surface.
