Description

#1272     CD 115        NO 3       MADE IN       Penny impression.      Colorless.

Portion of a CD 115 with a Lincoln cent impression at the top of the dome.  A deep impression, however the date is not legible.

A discarded insulator found by Bob Moss in 1983 at the Whitall Tatum dumpsite in Millville, NJ.  Apparently a factory worker was having fun making whimsical items at the Whitall Tatum plant decades before Bob found the insulator sherd.

A good sized portion of the top is present, while only a part of the skirt remains.  The entire area above the top wire groove is present, which is where the imprint is located.

Bob used a felt tip marker to record "WT Dump 1983" on the inside of the skirt.  It's not been thoroughly washed, and still retains some "dump dirt"  in the pinhole and on the outer surface.
