#1332 CD 135 CHICAGO INSULATING CO. PAT OCT. 16 1883. Blue aqua. Base embossed.
A highly unusual design, likely produced at a glassworks in Ellenville, New York. Although examples have been found in New York, Ohio, Illinois, Nebraska and perhaps other states, the majority of those now in collections were recovered many years ago in Mexico.
The base embossed units are scarcer than the shoulder embossed examples.
Tough to find in this immaculate, very near mint+ condition!
Worth a premium over other examples!
