Description

#1401      CD 123      E.C&M CO. S.F.        Dark teal aqua.     "B" mold variant.

Produced in the 1870's for the Electrical Construction & Maintenance Company, which operated a telegraph supply house in San Francisco, California.

The damage prone base remains in phenomenal condition, lacking the usual small flakes along the edge!  A narrow crevasse is formed on the top corner of the dome (see second photo) likely from two parallel surface annealing lines opening up with some shallow, narrow flaking.

Wonderful, crude surface with heavy creases and a "whittled" appearance.  Overall, a great looking example!
