#1402 CD 124.1 PATENT DEC 19 1871 4 Light amethyst.
Aqua examples of this type insulator rarely surface for sale, and the amethyst units being almost non-existent.
The CD 124.1 is the oldest of the Hemingray 4 designs, later modified to become the CD 124.2 , then the CD 124.3 and eventually the CD 124.
The dark horizontal pattern appearing in the lower skirt is not damage, rather reflection from a rippled pattern on the glass surface of the rear skirt.
A (smaller than pinkie nail) flake is visible in the photo, near the base. Some shallow bruising to excess glass on inside base edge. And of course, it's obvious this one lost his head somewhere along the way!
