#1418 CD 143 MONTREAL TELEGRAPH CO. Aqua with impurities. Embossing on both mold halves.
Groove base variant.
Attractive, opaque olive-amber impurity spirals through the dome and around the pinhole.
The insulator is quite heavy due to thick glass throughout including an abundance of dome glass!
The Montreal Telegraph Company was one of Canada’s earliest communication companies, having been formed in 1847. These jewels date from the later portion of M.T. Co. existence, likely from the middle 1870's to perhaps the early 1880's.
Nice shiny surface... very near mint.
