Description

#1426       CD 143       CANADIAN PACIFIC RY       Blue aqua with carbon.

This mold line over dome variant is embossed on a raised band.  The overall contours of the insulator are the same as the embossed "Montreal Telegraph Co" units, so the raised band was likely the result of machining out the earlier Montreal embossing and re-engraving the railway lettering in the machined cavity.

The bubbly-carbon mass above the pinhole adds character to this old timer.

Dome ding is just about pencil eraser diameter on the surface, expanding somewhat further in.  Shallow, half pinkie nail base flake, and two others on the base are even smaller.
