#1508 CD 321 REGISTERED TRADE MARK (emerald) "PATENTED JUNE 17 1890" Blue.
Known as the "Bat Ears."
Four large "braces" are molded on the underside of the large skirt, an unusual feature present on some of the insulator styles produced for the C. S. Knowles Company.
Penny size flat chip on underside of left ear. For the sake of accuracy, we'll also mention a very shallow, surface annealing line that traverses horizontally across a portion of the skirt (see photo).
