Description

#1542       CD 134       PATENT  DEC 19 1871        Colorless.

Few colorless insulators were produced by Hemingray with the 1871 patent date embossing.  The vast majority of older glass from the 1800's was produced in aquamarine and other coloration.

Although it does not show in this "straight on" perspective, the embossing is all present and quite legible.

Has some flat, flake type, base chips along the outer edge, mostly out of sight when viewed on a shelf.  Note, the base flakes are so shallow, they barely even show in the first photo.  Second photo is a base view... shallow flakes outlined with small white dots.
