#1586 CD 162 HEMINGRAY PATENT MAY 2 1893 PETTICOAT. Mustard toned olive.
Note this is a 1893 patent dated Hemingray with mustard olive coloration, not the more readily available olive and amber mix or olive Hemingray No 19.
Very subtle amber contamination can be seen in some small areas.
Drip points appear mint, but extremely close inspection reveals two have exceptionally small flakes. CD 162 signal collectors experience difficulty locating these colorful beauties, especially when in very near mint+ condition, like this sparkler.
A fabulous example with strong embossing, rich color saturation and readily passes light.
