Description

#1708         CD 121         W.F.G. CO.   DENVER, COLO.      16        Lavender blue.

An attractive and desirable color that's a cross between lavender and cornflower blue, unique to glass produced in the Denver, Colorado area. Produced at the Western Flint Glass Company factory in Valverde, Colorado.  The company was formed in 1899 after a fire damaged a glass plant operated by Robert Good at the same location.  Examples of tolls produced at W.F.G. appear in colors mostly unique to this factory, and are eagerly sought by collectors.

Loads of thick dome glass create excellent depth of color and brightness!

Very near mint + condition, and this beauty has only faint, surface annealing lines.
