This variant was produced in a mold identical to the "whittled" examples, but it remains smooth. Perhaps we should call it the "unwhittled mold!"
Very similar in colour to the example sold in another recent Pole Top auction, this one having a little less sage toning in the skirt. Rather, this jewel has a gray skirt, with amethyst toning in the dome.
Narrow, shallow bruise on the base is of little consequence. Two match head blemishes near the wire groove.
