#1743 CD 145 L H.G. CO. PETTICOAT Dark teal.
Attractive, rich dark color in this circa 1880's - 1890's beehive style insulator.
Flat base chip can be seen in the photo. Two b-b dings on the dome. Surface flashover below the wire groove on the right side.
Has some spots at various locations where excess glass (from the annealing process) was stuck to the body of the insulator, and was later flaked away. One is visible to further upward and to the right of the embossing. Another can be seen on the right side dome. An index fingernail area is on the reverse skirt. Although these are "in-the-making" flaws, they are being mentioned as some do distract from the appearance.
A low opening bid makes it interesting!
