Description

#1764      CD 162      H.G. CO.   PATENT MAY 2 1893       PETTICOAT.       Bright peacock blue.

The embossing on the reverse skirt was originally mis-spelled "PETTICAT" and later re-engraved with the proper spelling.  The old lettering is still quite legible under the later marking.

Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company.  These brightly colored signal style insulators were found primarily in the state of Kansas, where they were used by power companies.

Pinkie nail chip on the base corner removes most of one drip point and partially flakes another.  Ten other drip points are only partially flaked. Fairly unnoticeable bruise up from the reverse base, above six drip points.

The description of condition sounds worse than it actually appears.  It looks pretty nice.
