#1783 CD 252 HEMINGRAY-62. LOWEX. Medium-dark amber.
Not to be confused with the flashed amber examples, this is the much scarcer type that was produced in actual amber glass.
Far fewer of these amber glass units are known. Some were recovered by collectors decades ago in a dumpsite used by Hemingray. This unit appears as though it might possibly be one of those examples, as the surface is a bit hazy.
Hazy surface and various small surface blemishes. Chip on bottom of right ear is 1/2" x 1" (see photo).
