Description

#1815        CD 110.5     NAT. INSUL. CO.      (multiple patent dates).      Blue aqua.

Two segmented threads.

The small "Corkscrew" with base embossing.

Most examples of this uniquely shaped insulator were recovered along the route of a long distance telephone line constructed by American Telephone & Telegraph Company between New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Several circular and oblong, contrasting shapes in the spirals might appear like damage in the second photo, but are actually fully enclosed bubbles.

Damage consists of two flat base chips as shown in the second photo at the 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions.  One removes the "N" and a portion of "PA" lettering.  Other removes portions of "5 188" lettering.

Displays very near mint.

Reasonably priced taking the chips into consideration.

Buy-Now Price: $70.

BUY-NOW lots are subject to the normal 12% buyer premium, added to the Buy-Now price.

All lots in this event numbered #1804 and up are obtainable using two different purchase methods.  A bidder has the option of bidding on these lots at the current next raise as an auction item.  Or, you may make an instant purchase by clicking the "BUY-NOW" area, positioned just below the green "SUBMIT BID" button.

A reserve has been set on Buy-Now lots.  Once the reserve amount has been met, the Buy-Now option will no longer be available.
