#1816        CD 110.5     NAT. INSULATOR CO.      (Four patent dates on base).      Blue aqua.

The "corkscrew" insulator is quite unusual!  The spiral top was was designed to accept a horseshoe shaped clip, which eliminated the need for a tie wire.

Most examples of this uniquely shaped insulator were recovered along the route of a long distance telephone line constructed by American Telephone & Telegraph Company between New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

No chips, no flakes, no dings!  Insulator would grade very near mint+ if not for a somewhat hazy surface.  Every letter of the embossing is fully intact!  We'll discount a little for the haziness:

A reserve has been set on Buy-Now lots.  Once the reserve amount has been met, the Buy-Now option will no longer be available.
