Description

#1830       723      Raised dots and dashes.       Icy clambroth.

A wild and rarely encountered color for a threadless insulator!  Not "clear," but quite light and with an unusual tint.  There are even some fine amber streaks inside the glass.

The dots and dashes are boldly embossed on this beauty! The dot pattern varies somewhat on this type insulator, this one having an abundance of strongly embossed dots, all the way around.

Also present are some nicely pronounced indentations on the pinhole interior, formed by tongs during manufacture.  It's believed these were created to form recesses on the inside, so the fastening cement formed a better bond between the insulator and wood pin.

Fabulous, very near mint+ condition!

A rare beauty!

Plunkett Family Collection.  Purchased from Bob Wilson, a collector who also amassed a large and wonderful threadless collection during the 1970's.
