Description

#1868      CD 132.2       2         Medium bluish aqua.

A little darker and more blue than is typical for this item, probably produced by a glasshouse in the Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania area during the 1870's.

Two base flakes, one half pinkie nail size, the other pinkie nail size.  Some abrasion on the pebbly glass surface of the wire groove, caused from the tie wire.  Very shallow surface flake the size of an index fingernail below the wire groove.  Several small surface blemishes (pinhead to match head size).

The condition report sounds worse than the insulator actually appears!  It's an attractive item with a nice "orange peel" textured surface, and an attractive color.
