#1872 CD 143 Unembossed. Light green.
Horizontal ridges above the wire groove. Two ridges spiral downward, left to right, from the wire ridge to the base.
Frederick Withycombe patented various ridge configurations on insulators in 1899, these small beehive shaped units believed to have been produced in Canada.
Some flaking at the base edge and flaking on the bottom spiral. Dome impact left a pinkie nail flake on the surface, and a halo bruise inside the glass, a little larger than a 25¢ coin (see second photo).
Plunkett Family Collection.
