#1885 CD 152 CALIFORNIA Multi-color.
Produced in Long Beach, California, by a glass factory which operated as the California Glass Insulator Company, and later as the California Glass Works.
Various styles of “California” insulators were made using “multi-colored” glass. The ratio of glass colors varies greatly from item to item, so a sizable collection of differing blends can be assembled.
Multi color examples of the CD 152 California are scarcer than the typically seen CD 161.
This larger "hoop skirt" style consists mostly of amethyst glass, with areas of blue-green scattered at various locations, most obvious in the dome.
