Description

#1892      CD 164       PETTICOAT.       Amethyst.

Found in this amethyst shade, and darker color densities.  The light examples were found mostly in northwestern Washington State, whereas the dark units have surfaced in the Vancouver, British Columbia area.

The Anacortes Glass Company in Anacortes, Washington is known to have produced some examples of this insulator style/embossing, but it is unknown if all examples were made there.   There's a slight possibility some may also have been made at a Canadian glasshouse a short period of time earlier.

Displays quite well from the front, embossed side.  Second photo shows a base chip and bruise, centered at the left mold line.
