Description

#1926       CD 293       FRED M. LOCKE    VICTOR NY.       (patent dates)      Amethyst.

Examples of this type insulator were discovered in Louisiana many years ago.  Of those recovered, this one has more nicely pronounced amethyst coloration than the majority of examples.  The coloration is not only darker, but also has a reddish rose tint.

The Locke - Victor embossing is all readable.  Embossed dates are weak and partly unreadable.

The majority of examples found had some type of damage, this one faring better than many!  Has a shallow, pinkie nail flake on the top corner of one ear.  A finger nail chip is located on the middle, interior skirt.  Remainder of insulator in excellent condition.

Very attractive color!
