#1952 L' ELECTRO VERRE G18 Rich green.
Standoff... used to mount high voltage electrical gear such as switches.
With metal hardware both top and bottom. Found in France.
9-1/2" height.
Glass is very near mint+ condition. Metal has some rust.
Lot consists of ONE item as marked above each item in photo. CD 102 used only as a size reference.
Collector Jim Bergman, who has visited France numerous times, states: "I have seen them inside sub stations where the lines drop down to transformers or other electrical equipment located on the ground surface. We have never seen this insulator installed on a exterior surface but believe that they were used on interior applications of electric distribution to motors and machinery inside manufacturing plants."
