The green glass is loaded with impurities and bubbles.
Two machinists from New Jersey, who had insulator collecting friends in the area, decided to make a couple small molds and produce insulator novelties, this being one of the "creations." These are the same men who also produced the "B-T" units offered as Lots #2224 and #2225 in this event.
Numerous different commemoratives and "private issue" insulator replicas have been made in the past four or five decades. These early novelties pre-date the vast majority of them, when insulator collecting was in it's infancy. For that reason, they have special appeal.
Made in a two piece mold. A solid pour, with no pinhole cavity.
Attractive, rippled glass surface. Very, very near mint.
