#2310 CD 257 HEMINGRAY PATENT JUNE 17 1890 MAY 2 1893. Semi-opaque electric blue.
Milky impurities create an attractive, opaque appearance within much of the insulator. Some of the impurities within the glass have an interesting "crinkled" appearance.
All or nearly all known electric blue CD 257 Hemingay insulators currently held in collections came from one power line in the Kansas City area. They are among the most popular insulator types in the hobby today.
Nice, very legible embossing (see third photo for close detail). Base chip to the inside of the left base (see second and fifth images) is the size of a middle fingernail. Otherwise, only two additional drip points have minor, small flakes.
