#2312 CD 191 Unmarked. Dark purple.
The rare "Denver" mold variant.
To date, we've only confirmed two units with both top and bottom (CD 190 and 191). They appear to have been made at the glass factory in Valverde, Colorado when operated by the Western Flint Glass Company. Both are steel-lavender in color.
Examples of the CD 191 are known in other colors, including this dark purple unit, and are believed to have been produced a the same factory in Valverde when operated under R. Good.
The late Mike Miller used to relate a story about a handful of CD 191 found on a line, being used as a single piece insulator without the CD 190 bottoms. If the CD 191's were used as a single piece insulator, it would explain why they are known in greater numbers than the two piece units.
