#2320 CD 106 HEMINGRAY NO 9 PATENT MAY 2 1893. Medium-dark amethyst.
A fairly dark amethyst shade for this type insulator.
Still retains decades of soot and grime on the insulator surface... it's never been cleaned.
Found recently in the barn of a "picker" in Central Pennsylvania. This item, along with Lots #2319 and #2321 were all discovered together this past winter, nestled inside a bucket with other insulators! Also included was a CD 200 "No 2 Transposition." Quite a discovery!!!
One drip point is only partially flaked. Remainder of insulator is very near mint, having only a couple minor surface blemishes.
